Biographical Information:
Jon Polevoy is an attorney with Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer’s Environmental Law Team and Construction Industry Law Group. His practice focuses on environmental and construction law as well as real estate transactions, including real estate acquisition and commercial lease transactions involving contaminated properties, environmental compliance, due diligence and permitting, construction and development transactions, project finance and commercial litigation. He has provided legal support to public entities and corporations on various types of transactions and development projects including retail malls, warehouses, mixed-use buildings, stadiums, schools, as well as industrial, rail and wastewater facilities.
Prior to coming to Wilentz, Mr. Polevoy was in-house counsel for a general construction contractor specializing in international U.S. government construction projects. While counsel to the company, Mr. Polevoy provided legal support to civil and military construction projects in the Middle East, South America, Africa, and former Soviet Union countries. Representative projects included water treatment plants, embassy facilities and military bases.
Mr. Polevoy is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He also serves his community as an advisor to the West Windsor Environmental Commission and Vice President of the Princeton Greens Home Owner’s Association.
Before attending law school, Mr. Polevoy worked as an engineer for a national environmental engineering consulting firm and as a software developer for an investment bank.
