Monmouth Bar Association Honors Noel Tonneman

Tonneman was presented with the Association’s Family Law Committee Award for service to Family Law.  This award is given to those attorneys committed to the practice of family law and whose service to the Monmouth Bar Association are well recognized by both the bench and the bar.

Tonneman, who practices exclusively in matrimonial law, is a Certified Matrimonial Law Attorney.  She serves as treasurer of the Monmouth Bar Foundation, trustee of the Monmouth Bar Association and chair of the Monmouth Bar Association’s Family Law Committee.  Tonneman is a former member of the District IX Ethics Committee and is currently a member of the District IX Fee Arbitration Committee.  She is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, American Bar Association-Family Law Section, and American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

David Wildstein Receives Inaugural Edward Schoifet Family Law Award

The Middlesex County Bar Association presented David Wildstein with the Edward Schoifet Family Law Award.  The recipient of this award must have 15 years or more experience in the practice of family law and should exemplify those principles by which Mr. Schoifet practiced family law; such as diligent application of the law; thorough and careful presentation of the issues; attempting to settle the issues before resorting to litigation and maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Steven Enis Receives 2007 Martin S. Goldin Family Law Award

The Middlesex County Bar Association awarded Steven Enis of the Family Law Team the Martin S. Goldin Family Law Award.  The award is presented each year to a family law practitioner who has been engaged in the practice of law for 15 year or less and exemplifies those principles demonstated by Mr. Goldin, such as a high standard of integrity and professionalism, courtesy for the bench and leadership in the county or state bar associations.

James Trabilsy Receives Municipal Court Practice Award

James Edward Trabilsy, a shareholder at the Wilentz firm and a member of the Criminal Law Team, was the 2007 recipient of the Municipal Court Practice Award.  The award is presented annually to a bar member who is well recognized for character and competence and looked upon as a model of professional behavior in his or her respective area of practice.

Lawrence Jacobs was elected chair of the Northern New Jersey District Council of the Urban Land Institute for 2007-2008.  The organization is dedicated to fostering and sustaining thriving urban communities throughout the world.  It is comprised of leaders from across the fields of real estate and land use policy.

Wilentz Team Develops the NJ Portion of the State Fraud and Abuse Survey

Michael Schaff, John Murdoch, Brian Kalver and Alyson Leone developed the New Jersey component of the Fraud and Abuse Survey assembled by the American Health Lawyers Association.  This survey consists of statutes and regulations for the health industry and the Wilentz team was chosen to participate due to their expertise in regulatory issues.

Wilentz Shareholder Selected to Sit on Supreme Court Special Committee

Frederick J. Dennehy has been appointed to a Supreme Court Ad Hoc Committee chaired by former Chief Justice Deborah T. Poritz.  The purpose of the Commitee is to make appropriate recommendations to the Supreme Court regarding any necessary changes to the Code of Judicial Conduct.  Fred is only one of four attorneys selected to be on the 24-member committee which is comprised mostly of current and retired judges.

Petruzzell Appointed To NJ Supreme Court Committee

The New Jersey Supreme Court has appointed Christine Petruzzell to its Committee on Character.  She will be responsible for reviewing and determining the fitness of applicants taking the New Jersey Bar Exam to practice law in this State.

Michael Schaff Named Outstanding Physician Practice Lawyer, 2007

Michael Schaff has been recognized as one of the Outstanding Physician Practice Lawyers for 2007 by Nightingale's Healthcare News, a newsletter for professionals serving the healthcare industry.

He was honored at the Nightingale's Awards Ceremony on November 1 in Chicago.  He is recognized as an expert in the healthcare field where his knowledge has been particularly beneficial in assisting many healthcare professionals.
