Biographical Information:
Joseph J. Russell, Jr. is a senior associate on the Family Law Team at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. Mr. Russell maintains an office/practice in the Firm’s Monmouth County satellite location in Eatontown, New Jersey (Exit 105 off of the Garden State Parkway), and the Firm’s central office in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Russell was a law clerk to the Honorable Robert A. Fall in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. Mr. Russell also interned during law school for the Hon. Vincent J. Grasso, A.J.S.C.
Mr. Russell exclusively practices in the area of Family Law concentrating on issues of divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, equitable distribution, domestic violence, domestic partnerships, civil unions, and appeals. Mr. Russell is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Ocean, Monmouth and Middlesex County Bar Associations as well as the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and American Bar Association. Mr. Russell is a member of the Ocean County Family Law Executive Committee and he is chair of the Ocean County Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division. While the Wilentz Family Law Team practices in every county in New Jersey, Mr. Russell regularly appears in Ocean, Monmouth, Middlesex, Somerset, and Morris Counties.
Mr. Russell is involved in a variety of charitable activities including extensive involvement in pro bono litigation supported by the firm. In 2007, Mr. Russell was acknowledged by the New Jersey Supreme Court for his pro bono representation of indigent clients. Mr. Russell is also very active with LADACIN Network (an acronym for Lifetime Assistance for Developmental and Challenging Individual Needs). LADACIN Network is a non-profit agency whose mission is to provide education, therapeutic, social, residential and support services for people with cerebral palsy or other physical disabilities. Mr. Russell organizes and sponsors LADACIN’s Annual Polar Bear Plunge (see www.ladacin.org and LADACIN Annual Polar Bear Plunge group on Linkedin) every year.
Mr. Russell and his family reside in Manasquan, New Jersey.
