Edwin Leavitt-Gruberger is a shareholder with Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer P.A., on the Trusts & Estates Team. He brings a distinguished background in employee benefits and trusts and estates, as well as representing large estates before the Internal Revenue Service.
Prior to going into private law practice in 1992, he served as Vice President and Senior Benefits Counsel at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith and as General Counsel to Merrill Lynch Trust Company. He was also a Vice President at U.S. Trust Company of New York.
Mr. Leavitt-Gruberger currently serves on the Board of Directors for Brunswick Bank & Trust and as outside trust counsel to several financial institutions. He is a frequent lecturer on estate planning and employee benefits and was an instructor at the New York State Banker’s Association Trust Administration School for more than sixteen years. Mr. Leavitt-Gruberger also served as the President of the Mercer County Estate Planning Council from May, 2010 through June, 2011.
