Linda Lashbrook, a litigator, is a senior associate with Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, and concentrates her practice in Probate Litigation and other Chancery Division matters. She has been with the Wilentz firm since her law school graduation in 1981. An active member and Past President of the Middlesex County Bar Association, Linda was the recipient of the Professional Lawyer of the Year award from the Commission on Professionalism in 1999 and 2000. She was presented with the David Pavlovsky "Service to the Bar" Award in 2004 and is the 2007 recipient of the Trial Practice Award presented by the Middlesex County Bar Association.
Linda has served for several years on the Supreme Court Committee on Civil Practice, and uses her resulting familiarity with the Rules to provide biennial memos and seminars on the Rule amendments for the Association and other groups. She has copy-edited and proofread the Middlesex Advocate for at least 15 years, and, since her Presidency in 1998-99, has contributed monthly articles on a variety of topics, mainly legal and political. She is also a contributor to Lexis Nexis, New Jersey Court Rules Annotated,(2007 and 2008 eds.).
In addition, Linda is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and its Women in the Profession Section, and serves on the Amicus Committee for the State Bar. She was past vice president of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association. She was also a Bencher for several cycles of the Joseph Halpern Inn of Court, and a member of Judge Chambers’ committee on Best Practices.
