Matthew Skolnik joined the firm as an associate in 2012. His practice focuses on business and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Skolnik was of counsel with an intellectual property litigation firm in New Jersey and, previously, a commercial litigation associate with a large firm and a boutique firm in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Skolnik has extensive litigation experience in practice areas that include business/commercial litigation and intellectual property law.
For three consecutive years, including 2015, Mr. Skolnik has been recognized as a ‘Rising Star’ by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine. Super Lawyers recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in Pennsylvania and no more than 2.5 percent of such attorneys are named to the Rising Stars list annually.
Mr. Skolnik earned his J.D. at Emory University School of Law in 2002, where he was the Executive Managing Editor of Emory International Law Review. His Comment, “The Forum Non Conveniens Doctrine in Alien Tort Claims Act Cases: A Shell of its Former Self after Wiwa?” was published in 2002.
Having worked as a human resources management consultant with the Corporate Executive Board (Corporate Leadership Council) in Washington, D.C. for two years before law school, Mr. Skolnik brings a unique perspective to counseling business clients before and after litigation commences.
