How is the division of property determined during a divorce?

Property Division and NJ Family Law

The separation or division of property is always of utmost importance when going through any family law proceeding. Under the eyes of the law, the property can be divided by two basic themes: equitable distribution or community property. New Jersey also prohibits either party from hiding assets to avoid property distribution.
