Lynne M. Kizis, a Wilentz shareholder and co-chair of the firm’s Mass Tort/Class Action practice, has been named to the New Jersey Law Journal’s 2020 list of “Top Women in Law.” The biannual list recognizes 20 women attorneys who have influenced the legal profession.
Ms. Kizis was selected for her leadership at Wilentz as co-head of the Mass Tort/Class Action practice and for her distinguished career advancing mass tort law in New Jersey. She served as the fourth female President of the New Jersey Association for Justice from 2018-2019, and was successful in leading the Association’s efforts to restore the rights of those injured in auto crashes to sue the wrongdoer for unpaid medical bills. She also protected rights under the Consumer Fraud Act and to assert claims for professional negligence. In addition, she championed diversity, equity and inclusion within the Association. Ms. Kizis continues to serve NJAJ in several capacities, including as Chair of its Political Action Committee. Earlier this year, Ms. Kizis was honored by NJAJ with its prestigious Gold Medal Award and by the Middlesex County Bar Association with its Civil Trial Practice Award, was named a “New Jersey Trailblazer” by the New Jersey Law Journal, and honored by NJBIZ on its 2020 list of “Best 50 Women in Business.”
