Wilentz Shareholder and Family Law Chair Joseph J. Russell, Jr. was honored on May 2 with the Community Service Award by Monmouth-Ocean Development Council at their 54th Annual Silver Gull Awards Dinner, in recognition of his involvement in the community. Mr. Russell devotes substantial time raising money and awareness for LADACIN Network — Lifetime Assistance for Developmental and Challenging Individual Needs — a non-profit agency whose mission is to provide education, therapeutic, social, residential and support services for people with cerebral palsy or other physical disabilities in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Mr. Russell is also very involved with Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus where he sits on their Foundation Board.
At Wilentz, Mr. Russell leads the firm’s family law practice, which includes representation in connection with divorce, alimony, child custody/parenting time, child support, distribution of assets/liabilities, business valuations, protection of exempt assets, family trusts, domestic violence, same sex marriages and prenuptial agreements.
