Wilentz attorneys Brett R. Harris and Lisa Gora will continue to serve in leadership positions at the New Jersey State Bar Association. Their leadership positions were confirmed at the NJSBA Annual Meeting and Convention, held at Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, from May 15 to May 17.
Wilentz Shareholder Brett R. Harris was re-elected to serve as Chair of the NJSBA Business Law Section. She has been a member of the Business Law Section’s Board of Directors since 2001. Ms. Harris was also re-elected for a two-year term to the Board of Trustees of the NJSBA Women in the Profession Section. She has been a Trustee since 2011. In addition, she will continue to serve on several NJSBA special committees, including Privacy Law, Internet and Computer Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Franchise Law. The Business Law Section provides regular informational and educational programs concerning federal laws and regulations affecting New Jersey profit and nonprofit business organizations. At Wilentz, Ms. Harris focuses her corporate transactional practice on counseling charities and foundations on exempt status, governance and compliance, assisting businesses with intellectual property protections and cybersecurity.
Wilentz Associate Lisa Gora was elevated to serve as Vice Chair of the NJSBA Health Law Section. She previously served as its Secretary. The Health Law Section provides updates on laws and regulations affecting health care services through programs, conferences and publications. At Wilentz, Ms. Gora advises healthcare professionals and group practices on federal and state statutes and regulations affecting their businesses in addition to corporate transactional matters with respect to the formation and structure of healthcare entities.
