Brett R. Harris and Donna M. Jennings to Serve on Executive Board of New Jersey Women Lawyers Association

Wilentz Shareholder Brett R. Harris was re-appointed to serve as Co-General Counsel of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association (NJWLA) for the fifth year and Wilentz Shareholder Donna M. Jennings was elected to serve as its Co-Chief Financial Officer. Their respective leadership positions for the 2019-2020 term in the organization’s Executive Board will become effective July 1, 2019.

Formed in 1981, NJWLA engages in statewide efforts designed to retain women in the legal profession in New Jersey and support its members to the highest levels of law firm, government, academic, and corporate positions and the judiciary through educational programs and mentoring.

At Wilentz, Ms. Harris focuses her corporate transactional practice on counseling charities and foundations on exempt status, governance and compliance, assisting businesses with intellectual property protections and cybersecurity.

Ms. Jennings has been a member of NJWLA’s Board of Directors since 2010. She served on its Judicial Outreach Committee from 2010-2012, the Marketing Committee from 2012-2014, and as a Trustee-at-Large from 2014-2018. At Wilentz, she represents property owners and developers on land use and redevelopment projects at all governmental levels, including litigation in both State and Federal Courts related to affordable housing and the Religious Land Use And Institutionalized Persons Act.
