Wilentz Assistant General Counsel John E. Hogan Sworn In as President of Trial Attorneys of New Jersey

Wilentz Assistant General Counsel and Shareholder John E. Hogan was sworn in as the President of Trial Attorneys of New Jersey ("TANJ") for the 2019-2020 term at the 52nd annual Trial Bar Awards Reception held on October 17, 2019 at Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, New Jersey. Mr. Hogan has served as TANJ Officer and Trustee since 2006.

Created 50 years ago, Trial Attorneys of New Jersey is a statewide organization consisting of plaintiff and defense attorneys from the civil and criminal bars and former members of the judiciary dedicated to promoting the interests of the litigants involved in civil and criminal cases and the interests of the bench and bar. TANJ provides continued legal education to young and seasoned attorneys and confers the Trial Bar Award annually to attorneys "who have distinguished themselves in the cause of justice."

At Wilentz, Mr. Hogan oversees governance issues with respect to risk management, conflicts and other policy implementation. In his criminal law practice, Mr. Hogan represents individuals, corporations and public entities in criminal and administrative prosecutions and investigations.

John Anzalone, Shareholder and Co-Chair of the Personal Injury practice group, has been a Trustee since 2015; Retired New Jersey Superior Court Judge and Wilentz’s General Counsel Frank M. Ciuffani has served on the Advisory Board since 2018. Maureen S. Binetti, Shareholder and Chair of the Employment law practice group, was honored with the 2018 Trial Bar Award.
