The New Jersey Association for Justice has honored Wilentz Shareholder Lynne M. Kizis with its Gold Medal for Distinguished Service award, the highest honor that NJAJ bestows. The award was conferred to Ms. Kizis in recognition of her successful efforts during her term as NJAJ president to ameliorate the New Jersey Supreme Court decision of Haines v. Taft and restore the rights of those injured in auto crashes to sue the wrongdoer for unpaid medical bills.

At Wilentz, Ms. Kizis is co-team leader of the firm’s Mass Tort/Class Action team. Over her 30 year legal career, she has advocated for the rights of those injured by toxic exposures, defective products, dangerous drugs and medical devices, and those harmed by corporate and insurer fraud. Ms. Kizis served as president of NJAJ from 2018-2019, a statewide organization uniting 2,800+ trial lawyer members who represent the rights of individuals in the New Jersey court system, while working to strengthen the laws for safer products and workplaces, a cleaner environment and quality health care. She continues to serve on its Executive Committee and its Board of Governors. She also co-chairs its Mass Tort Section, and chairs its Political Action Committee.
