The New Jersey Law Journal Names Lisa Gora as a New Leader of the Bar


The New Jersey Law Journal has named Wilentz attorney Lisa Gora to its 2020 New Leaders of the Bar list, recognizing her leadership in the healthcare legal industry in New Jersey. The award was conferred to Ms. Gora on November 4 during the New Jersey Legal Awards 2020 Professional Excellence virtual ceremony, honoring “those lawyers who have left an indelible mark on the legal community in New Jersey and beyond through their unwavering dedication to the profession.” 

As Chair-Elect of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Health Law Section, Ms. Gora supports the Section's mission in educating healthcare providers and other healthcare attorneys in the rapidly changing healthcare legal marketplace. She also serves as Chair of the Medical Staff, Credentialing, and Peer Review Practice Group within the American Health Law Association (AHLA), the nation’s largest educational organization devoted to legal issues in the health care field. Serving her second term as Chair, Ms. Gora leads the AHLA Practice Group in creating educational publications and resources for AHLA members concerning the health law sector. In addition, Ms. Gora recently co-authored the “2020 Health Law Handbook” published by Thomson Reuters and served as Coordinating Editor for the “Representing Physicians Handbook, Fourth Edition.”
