Rutgers Hillel has honored Wilentz Shareholder Roy H. Tanzman and wife Brenda Tanzman as “Visionaries in Partnership” for their significant and long-standing contributions in leading, building and supporting the institution. Rutgers University is home to more than 6,400 Jewish undergraduate students, the largest Jewish undergraduate population in the country. Rutgers Hillel is extraordinary in terms of its size, student diversity and quality of programming.
The 2021 Annual Gala honoring community leaders and supporters of the organization was held virtually on April 19. Mr. Tanzman served as Hillel Board President from 2011-2017 and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Governors at Rutgers Hillel. He is also a member of the Advisory Council on Jewish Student Life and Presidents’ Counsel at Rutgers University.
Rutgers Hillel is a part of Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, the largest Jewish campus organization in the world. It is dedicated to providing opportunities for every Jewish student at Rutgers University’s New Brunswick campus to deepen their connection to Jewish identity and Jewish community.
