The Essex County Bar Association honored Barry M. Epstein, shareholder of Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A as one of their Members of the Class of 1962, recognizing 50 Years of Service to the Bar in the October 2012.  The firm congratulates Mr. Epstein on this great accomplishment. 

Mr. Epstein is co-chair of the Mass Tort/Class Action Team, with broad experience in commercial litigation, including Lanham Act (comparative advertising) claims, and technical and scientifically based drug and device product liability and toxic tort actions.  He has also supervised and tried cases in numerous state and federal jurisdictions.

Mr. Epstein served as Law Secretary to Hon Edward Gaulkin, Judge, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, 1962-1963.  He was Chairman of Litigation at his prior firm (Sills Cummis Epstein & Gross) for many years.  Mr. Epstein has published and lectured to trial lawyers and judges on scientific issues and the use of expert testimony in product liability and toxic tort cases and to prosecutors on effective jury presentations.  He is co-author of a two-volume treatise:  "New Jersey Product Liability Law," Butterworth Legal Publishers; "New Jersey Objections at Trial," Butterworth Legal Publishers; and Co-Managing Editor of "E-Discovery - A Guide For Corporate Counsel."
