Wilentz Shareholder and Co-Chair of the Public Finance Group, Tony Solimine has been named to the list of 2024 Leaders in Law by NJBIZ. The award will be conferred during a ceremony hosted by NJBIZ on May 14, 2024 at The Palace at Somerset Park.
Tony, Co-Chair of the Public Finance Group, boasts over two decades of experience as a seasoned finance lawyer. He focuses his practice on municipal and school district financing, including hundreds of school districts and municipalities, as well as underwriter's counsel in both tax-exempt and taxable public finance transactions.
Tony recently served as bond counsel for the Board of Education of Cherry Hill, one of New Jersey's largest local public school referendum and subsequent bond sale. This endeavor marked the district's first major capital investment in over two decades, amounting to $363,911,100 in school bonds. The funds were allocated for extensive improvements, renovations, and additions across 19 schools and facilities, benefiting over 11,000 students in the state's 11th largest school system.
Outside of work, Tony is actively engaged in community service. He has contributed his experience to the Executive Committee of the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials and served as a Trustee for the Franklin Lakes Education Foundation, dedicated to enhancing the quality of education in Franklin Lakes' public schools.
