She represents lenders in connection with complex commercial financing transactions, asset based lending, as well as commercial real estate acquisition and refinancing in both New Jersey and New York. Meredith’s extensive experience as a litigator in bankruptcy matters allows her to be uniquely positioned to structure covenants and better protect her clients’ security interests and collateral.
As real estate counsel, she negotiates and memorializes all types of agreements, including loan agreements, modifications, forbearance agreements, and real estate contracts. Meredith’s experience extends to negotiating cash collateral orders, Chapter 11 plan objections, stay relief and dischargeability matters. She defends and prosecutes fraudulent transfer, preference, and non-dischargeability adversary proceedings on behalf of her corporate clients. Additionally, she has a strong background in environmental law issues in the bankruptcy context.
Meredith is actively involved in the professional legal community. She has previously served as a Board Member of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation, as well as Executive Board Member and Middlesex County Representative of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), Young Lawyer’s Division. Through the NJSBA, Meredith has also dedicated her time and experience to various pro-bono matters involving Hurricane Sandy relief and prisoner re-entry programs. While at the University of Iowa College of Law, she was honored with the Boyd Community Service Award for her distinct commitment to provide volunteer services.
