Wednesday, May 8, 2019 to Friday, May 10, 2019

Harrah’s Resort, Atlantic City, New Jersey

New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ) President Lynne M. Kizis, Wilentz shareholder and Co-Team Leader of its Mass Tort/Class Action Practice Group, will preside over the annual NJAJ Boardwalk Seminar, to be held on May 8-10, 2019 at Harrah’s Resort, Atlantic City, New Jersey. As the preeminent continuing legal education event for lawyers who advocate in the areas of personal injury, employment law, matrimonial law, medical malpractice, workers compensation, among others, Boardwalk 2019 will feature distinguished local and national speakers participating in over 30 seminars.

At the three-day seminar, Ms. Kizis is co-chairing the program “Mass Tort: From Beginning to End.” In the Personal Injury program on May 9, she will present “The Year in Torts in NJ/The Top Ten.” In the Litigation at Sunrise program on May 10, she will address “Mass Tort: Mesothelioma, Screening the Case and your Initial Client Interview”. She will also participate in the “Inside NJAJ” program, designed for members who are looking for ways to get more involved and considering leadership positions.

Boardwalk 2019 will also provide opportunities for practitioners of auto negligence and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Law to learn from the recent New Jersey Supreme Court decision in Haines v. Taft, No. 079600, 2019 WL 1339479, (N.J. Mar. 26, 2019) that reversed the 2017 Appellate Division’s decision, rejecting plaintiff’s attempt to recover medical bills in excess of their automobile PIP policy limits.
