Wilentz Shareholder Michael F. Schaff, co-chair of the Health Law and Corporate practice groups, and healthcare and corporate attorney Lisa Gora will be speaking at the NJICLE webcast “The Cannabis Law Referendum, You and Your Clients – What You Need to Know Now.”
In addition to moderating the half-day program, Mr. Schaff will participate on two of the panels. The introductory panel will focus on medical marijuana law updates and potential forthcoming amendments to the New Jersey Constitution to permit adult-use marijuana. The “Challenges and Issues after Legalization” panel discussion will consider the challenges in criminal law and justice of legalized marijuana.
Ms. Gora will be speaking on the panel “Adult-Use and Federal Law,” which will cover New Jersey’s Medicinal Marijuana Program and the federal classification of marijuana as a Schedule I substance, FDA regulation if adult-use marijuana is legalized, and opportunities in the hemp market.
Presented in Cooperation with the NJSBA Cannabis Law Committee and the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey, this program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 4.0 hours of total CLE credit.
