Danielle A. Schweizer to Present Seminar Hosted by The Bar Foundation of Union County

Wilentz business litigation attorney Danielle A. Schweizer will join the panel entitled “Navigating the Chancery Division from Probate Part to General Equity with a Perspective from the Bench,” hosted by the Bar Foundation of Union County. Ms. Schweizer, Co-Chair of the Union County Bar Association’s General Equity Practice Committee, will join the distinguished panel including the Honorable Robert J. Mega, P.J.Ch., and Lisa Taylor Brophy, Counsel to the Union County Surrogate. The seminar will precede an awards dinner to honor the late Union County Surrogate James S. LaCorte and the presentation of the first Hon. James S. LaCorte Trusts, Estates & Elder Law Award and the Hon. Ann P. Scholarship Award. 

The seminar agenda includes:

  • Recognizing which cases to file in General Equity and which to file in Probate.
  • Understanding the distinction between Orders to Show Cause in General Equity and Probate.
  • Clarifying the differences between the types of General Equity Orders to Show Cause, including which type to file to achieve your client's desired outcome.

This program has been tentatively approved by the Board of Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 2.0 hours of total CLE credit. Of these, 2.0 qualify as hours of credit toward certification in Civil Law.
