Everett M. Johnson to Present at The Essentials 2025 Conference Hosted by the National Association of Bond Lawyers

Wilentz Shareholder and Co-Chair of the Public Finance team and the Equal Opportunity Committee, Everett M. Johnson will participate as a panelist on two sessions at The Essentials 2025 Conference in Kansas City.  

On Thursday, May 15 at 10:15 a.m., Mr. Johnson will serve as a panelist in the session, entitled “Underwriting: Behind the Scenes,” which will cover aspects of the underwriting process from structuring the deal to taking the municipal bonds to market. 

On Friday, May 16 at 10:15 a.m., Mr. Johnson will chair the session, entitled “Ethics for Bond Attorneys 101,” which will explore ethical and practical issues in municipal finance legal representation, including engagement letters, the delivery of opinions, conflicts of interest, and relevant ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct.   

Mr. Johnson will also participate on a Career Panel being hosted by the Diversity Committee of the National Association of Bond Lawyers on Wednesday, May 14.

The Essentials Conference offers a comprehensive introduction to bond law for new professionals in public finance, starting with basic concepts and progressing to more advanced topics. Panelists focus on the principals and general practices of public finance practice, aiming to prepare the next generation of bond lawyers and market participants.
