Edward T. Kole and Danielle A. Schweizer to Serve as Panelists at the Union County Bar Association’s “Litigating in the General Equity Part and the Key Differences Between Bench and Jury Trials” Seminar

Edward T. Kole, Wilentz Litigation Chair, and Danielle A. Schweizer, Business and Commercial Litigation attorney, will join a distinguished panel of judges and litigators at the pre-dinner seminar preceding the Spring Awards and Conti Scholarship Dinner on June 4th. The seminar will focus on the unique aspects of practicing in the General Equity Part of the court. Panelists will also highlight the fundamental differences between bench trials and jury trials providing valuable insights to help attorneys tailor their approach for each setting.

Mr. Kole is an experienced business litigator and trial lawyer with over 30 years of experience in the practice of complex corporate and commercial litigation, and has handled commercial disputes on behalf of public and private companies in New Jersey and across the nation. Mr. Kole’s practice includes the representation of large and medium-sized businesses and corporations at every level of state and federal courts, involving a myriad of legal issues including complex contract disputes; restrictive covenant and trade secret litigation; securities and derivative actions; as well as litigation concerning business, shareholder/partnership and franchise disputes. Mr. Kole is a Past President of the Association of the Federal Bar of the State of New Jersey. He is a past chair of the Business and Commercial Litigation Committee, as well as the Federal Practice and Procedure Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and previously served as a member of the Appellate Practice Committee. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in North America, past chair of its State Committee, and chair of its Heritage Committee. Mr. Kole has been recognized in his field by Chambers USA since 2016. In addition, Mr. Kole has been included in the Best Lawyers in America list since 2006 and the New Jersey Super Lawyers list since its inception in 2005. 

Danielle Schweizer is an associate on the Business and Commercial Litigation group at Wilentz, where she represents businesses and individuals in complex commercial disputes in both state and federal court. Her practice focuses on matters involving corporate and shareholder disputes, contractual claims, restrictive covenants, construction delay and defect, software and technology, real estate, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty. Prior to joining Wilentz, Ms. Schweizer was a law clerk in both the Chancery and Civil Divisions of the Superior Court of New Jersey. She is the Co-Chair of the General Equity Practice Committee of the Union County Bar Association, the Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Since 2025, Ms. Schweizer has been recognized on the New Jersey Super Lawyers "Rising Stars" list.
