Brett R. Harris to Present at NJICLE’s Representing Nonprofits & Tax-Exempt Organizations Program

Brett R. Harris will present at the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) program “Representing Nonprofits and Tax-Exempt Organizations” on December 18th.

The program delves into the foundational and advanced issues facing nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations: formation, compliance, dissolution, nonprofit vs. tax-exempt structuring, and the ever-important rules around unrelated business income tax (UBIT). 

Ms. Harris will be covering the following topics:

• Special considerations relating to religious organizations.

• Regulation of charitable solicitation and fundraising.

• Political activity and lobbying by nonprofit organizations.

   

NJ CLE information: This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 3.3 hours of total CLE credit (Full Credits Available: NJ General: 3.3).
