Edward T. Kole, Chair of the Business and Commercial Litigation Team and Shareholder, will present at “Ethical Conduct Before and During Trial,” an upcoming seminar presented by the American College of Trial Lawyers in conjunction with the New Jersey State Bar Association.
The program will bring together New Jersey Fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers for an interactive discussion of the ethical challenges attorneys may encounter throughout the litigation process. Presenters will explore 14 different ethical dilemmas and discuss practical and aspirational approaches to handling each situation.
Topics will include “The Juror Who Failed to Disclose,” “Cross-Examining One’s Own Client,” and “The Judges Who Like Golf,” among other thought-provoking scenarios. The program will focus not only on attorneys’ minimum ethical obligations, but also on the principles and practices that promote fairness and uphold the integrity of the legal profession.
