David S. Gordon, Christopher D. Hopkins and Judge Robert J. Mega to Participate in NJICLE Commercial Leasing Program

David S. Gordon, Of Counsel in the Wilentz Real Estate group, Christopher D. Hopkins, Shareholder in the Real Estate group, and Hon. Robert J. Mega, P.J. Ch. (Ret.), will participate in the annual Advanced Topics in Commercial Leasing program presented by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. 

Mr. Gordon and Mr. Hopkins will serve as moderators for the program, bringing together experienced commercial real estate attorneys for a comprehensive discussion of the sophisticated leasing issues facing practitioners today.

Judge Mega will serve as a panelist for “Lease Termination and Enforcement Issues,” The session will address legal considerations surrounding the termination and enforcement of commercial leases, with Judge Mega offering his judicial perspective on these issues.

In addition to serving as a moderator, Mr. Hopkins will serve as a panelist for the session, “Going In – Going Out: Tenant Improvements, Removal Restrictions, Condition on Surrender, Credit Enhancements (for Landlords and Tenants).” The session will examine issues that landlords and tenants should consider when entering into and exiting a commercial lease.

The program will address a broad range of critical commercial leasing topics, including unusual landlord and tenant requests, lease termination and enforcement, tenant improvements and surrender conditions, additional rent pass-throughs, the use of artificial intelligence in commercial lease transactions, and leasehold financing.
