Retired Superior Court Judge, The Honorable Frank Ciuffani Rejoins Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A.

Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. is pleased to announce that The Honorable Frank Ciuffani (Ret.) has rejoined the firm as Of Counsel in its Woodbridge office. In his new role at Wilentz, Judge Ciuffani will lead the Firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution practice, focusing on mediating and arbitrating complex commercial, business, employment, probate and family matters.

Prior to rejoining the firm, Judge Ciuffani served as the Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court, General Equity Division, and Probate Judge of Middlesex County from 2008 to 2017.  He served as New Jersey Superior Court Judge, Civil and Family Divisions of Middlesex County from 2003 to 2008. During his tenure on the bench, he presided over numerous decisions of import that included the Archdiocese of Newark entering the tombstone business and health insurer Horizon’s tiered approach method to product billing.  In 2008, Judge Ciuffani launched a pilot program for home-mortgage foreclosures that became the model for the statewide foreclosure mediation program. Judge Ciuffani was also a former Assistant Prosecutor in Middlesex County. 

Prior to his government service, Judge Ciuffani practiced at Wilentz for 29 years, where he focused on commercial and employment litigation.
