Gabriella A. Russo is an associate in the Personal Injury group at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A., focusing her practice in the area of personal injury, wrongful death, mass tort, and class actions.
Gabriella, a merit scholarship recipient, earned her J.D. from the University of Massachusetts School of Law in 2021, and her B.A. from Montclair State University in 2016, where she received a General Assembly Citation for Academic Excellence and Achievement from the New Jersey Legislature.
Prior to joining Wilentz, Gabriella clerked for the Honorable Richard W. English, J.S.C., in the criminal division, where she drafted bench memorandums, judicial opinions, and was an integral part in several trials involving sexual assault and homicide. In addition, Gabriella assisted in the drafting of municipal appeal and post-conviction relief opinions for the Honorable Michael A. Guadagno, J.A.D.
Gabriella’s previous legal experience includes employment at a mass tort litigation law firm in New York City, where she was involved in the discovery of the hernia mesh implant and defective joint replacement litigation.
During her last year in law school, Gabriella was a zealous advocate for indigent clients in the Mashpee Wampanoag Legal Services Clinic. She became certified as a student attorney pursuant to SJC Rule 3:03, which permitted her to appear in civil and criminal proceedings. One notable achievement included attaining a favorable visitation schedule for her elder client’s grandchildren.
