Kathleen "Katie" Hirce is Counsel on the Environmental team at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A., focusing her practice on environmental compliance.

Katie has experience with highly complex environmental matters in the petrochemical and gasoline industries. She counsels clients on environmental investigations and remediation involving former refineries, terminals, and service station sites, with experience spanning from compliance, regulatory, claims, and litigation matters. Her practice covers the full scope of environmental law, including policy, enforcement, regulatory compliance, negotiations and settlements with government agencies, pursuit of potentially responsible parties, permitting, audits, remediation, property transfers, Superfund issues, environmental risk assessments, and management of environmental liabilities.

Prior to practicing law, Katie worked as a magazine reporter and editor, and she has represented media organizations in defamation and privacy cases.

Katie earned her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2005, and in 1998, she earned her A.B. from Bryn Mawr College.
