Saher Tariq is an associate in the Real Estate and Redevelopment teams at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A., focusing her practice in all facets of commercial real estate and redevelopment transactions.

Saher represents real estate developers, redevelopers, and property owners in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. She assists in the negotiation of purchase and sale agreements and is experienced with all types of property diligence. Saher also represents landlords and tenants in the negotiations of commercial leases. Additionally, she assists in the formation of entities and the preparation and negotiation of the associated governing documents.

Prior to joining Wilentz, Saher gained experience navigating complex regulatory landscapes and facilitating diverse transactions, including reviewing and advising on deed restrictions, affordability controls, and developer agreements related to acquisitions with affordable housing obligations. Additionally, she has a background in drafting and recording various documents, such as subdivision deeds, easement agreements, and plats, to secure approvals for developments in the tri-state area.

She is well versed in reviewing local zoning regulations for development in New Jersey and New York, NJDEP, and CAFRA regulations for development in the Meadowlands, Wetlands, Pinelands, and economic incentive policies concerning redevelopment projects. Saher has played a key role in the purchase and sale of hotels, residential, and commercial properties, overseeing due diligence investigations spanning New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut, including analyzing title reports, easements, surveys, environmental assessments, zoning regulations, and redevelopment plans, offering valuable counsel on the feasibility of proposed projects.

Noteworthy projects include film studios, a performing arts campus, cannabis dispensaries, and industrial park warehouse/mixed-use developments. Additionally, Saher has contributed to the development of commercial and mixed-use projects and the installation of renewable energy technology by drafting applications and ancillary documents.
