Zain A. Naqvi is an associate in the Real Estate group at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. Mr. Naqvi represents real estate investment trusts, commercial developers, property owners, and commercial landlords in connection with transactional matters ranging from leasing, subleasing, acquisition and disposition of commercial properties.
His extensive background in commercial and real estate litigation matters informed his success in the real estate arena. For nearly a decade, he has managed and litigated complex disputes in New York and New Jersey state courts for some of New York City’s largest commercial developers and landlords, including contractual disputes, commercial lease disputes, complex housing discrimination, disputes relating to the acquisition and development of commercial real estate, purchase-sale disputes, reformation and rescission of contract claims, as well as breach of fiduciary duty and shareholder disputes.
Mr. Naqvi earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2010, where he was the Associate Managing Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law, and a recipient of the Academic Achievement Award and the Gold Public Service Award. He also practiced in the Federal Immigration and Federal Criminal Prosecution Clinics with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. He earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in 2007.
In 2018, Mr. Naqvi was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers Rising Stars. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
