Stephanie D. Gironda to Present at NJICLE’s 2022 LGBTQ Rights Annual Update

Wilentz employment law attorney Stephanie D. Gironda will present, along with other leading New Jersey attorneys who practice in key areas of law that affect LGBTQ rights, at the NJICLE’s “2022 LGBTQ Rights Annual Update.” Ms. Gironda, along with her co-presenter, will present “Employment Law Update: Bostock and Beyond,” which will include an analysis of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Bostock v. Clayton County and its implications for LGBTQ rights. Ms. Gironda will also discuss more recent cases considered Bostock’s progeny, and what future decisions based on Bostock may indicate for the employment rights of LGBTQ individuals. In addition, the Annual Update will cover issues such as immigration, recent case law, executive orders from the Biden administration, and other significant developments that affect the LGBTQ community and their access to justice.

  • NJ’s marriage equality statute
  • NJ’s nursing home non-discrimination law
  • NJ’s decriminalization of transmission of HIV
  • Fulton v. City of Philadelphia
  • Implementation of new NJ rules regarding name changes
  • Immigration Law
  • Sonia Doe v. NJ Dept. of Corrections

This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 4.5 hours of total CLE credit. Of these, 2.1 qualify as hours of credit for diversity and inclusion.
