Jason A. Cherchia to Moderate CLE Addressing Changes to Legal Notice Requirements in New Jersey

Jason A. Cherchia, Counsel on the Wilentz Land Use team, will serve as moderator for the Middlesex County Bar Association CLE program titled “‘Legal Notice’ As We Know It Has Changed”. The program will focus on how P.L. 2025, c.72 fundamentally changed how legal notices are provided in New Jersey by eliminating newspaper publication and establishing a new statutory notice framework.

Practitioners will receive an overview of the new statute, including when and how notice must be given, compliance requirements, and key implementation challenges. Speakers will also discuss the practical implications for land use practitioners and municipalities, as well as proposed legislative fixes addressing gaps and unintended consequences in the current framework.
