Lawrence F. Jacobs Sworn in as Mayor of Bedminster Township

On January 4, 2019, Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. Shareholder Larry F. Jacobs was sworn in for his first term as Mayor of Bedminster Township in New Jersey. The Township Committee unanimously chose Mr. Jacobs, marking the Township’s first change in mayor since 2013.

A resident of the township for 23 years, Mr. Jacobs is now serving in his third three-year term on the Bedminster Township Committee, having won his first election in 2012, and subsequent reelections in 2015 and 2018. Mr. Jacobs continues to serve on the Bedminster Township Land Use Board, where he has served since 2011. He has served on the Bedminster Township Environmental Commission, the Bedminster Hills Housing Corporation (Bedminster’s affordable housing agency), the Bedminster Agricultural Advisory Committee and the Clarence Dillon Library Board. In 2018, Mr. Jacobs created and managed the Bedminster Farmers Market and continues to serve on the Farmers Market Committee.

Mr. Jacobs is chair of the Environmental Law practice at Wilentz, and his practice is focused on advising clients in all phases of regulatory compliance with environmental laws, brownfields redevelopment and land use permitting. He earned his law degree from Rutgers Law School - Newark, and he is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
