Xiaosong “Larry” Li is an associate in the Business Litigation group at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. He brings nearly two decades of experience representing corporate clients, financial institutions, public entities, and individuals in a wide range of disputes and regulatory matters.
Larry has significant experience in banking, securities, healthcare, and administrative law, as well as in regulatory compliance. He has served as outside counsel to a major international bank on compliance with federal and state regulations, including Dodd-Frank, for a wide range of financial products. He regularly advises clients on regulatory matters, contract drafting and negotiation, and the acquisition and sale of business assets.
Larry’s litigation experience includes representing clients in class actions, derivative lawsuits, shareholder disputes, and regulatory enforcement actions. He has also defended public entities in liability litigation and represented commissioners and corporate officers in administrative and conflict of interest proceedings. His work has led to multiple published and reported decisions, including matters before the New Jersey Appellate Division, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Larry earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law–Newark, where he received a Dean’s Merit Scholarship and served as Managing Notes Editor of the Rutgers Law Review. He also holds a Master of Philosophy from Beijing University and a B.A. in English from Wuhan University, where he was awarded Best Debater in the University Debate Tournament. Before pursuing law, he was a Ph.D. candidate in philosophy at Vanderbilt University.
Larry is fluent in Mandarin and has authored legal publications, including an article in NJ Municipalities Magazine analyzing the FCC’s rule changes affecting local land use applications.
