Wilentz Health and Corporate Law Co-Chair Michael F. Schaff will moderate the panel and present at the “Overview of the Adult Use Cannabis Laws in New Jersey” session at the NJSBA 2021 Annual Meeting. Wilentz shareholder and health law attorney Lisa Gora will join the panel, which will discuss the recently signed “The New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory, Enforcement Assistance, and Marketplace Modernization Act,” which decriminalizes marijuana and hashish possession and clarifies marijuana and cannabis use and possession penalties for individuals under age 21.
The 1.25-hour virtual program will discuss the new adult use law, licensing, employment law, expungement and social justice issues, banking and business issues, and more.
This program has been approved for 1.5 CLE credits in New Jersey and 1.5 professional practice credits in New York. Approval is pending for 1.0 substantive credit in Pennsylvania.
