Stephanie D. Gironda to Moderate Navigating Neurodiversity at Work Seminar

Stephanie D. Gironda will moderate the upcoming seminar, “Navigating Neurodiversity at Work,” on October 23rd. This program is sponsored by the Diversity Committee, one of the subcommittees of the Executive Committee of the Labor and Employment Law Section. Stephanie was appointed this year as Co-Chair of both the Diversity Committee and the Ad Hoc Committee.

The panel will provide attendees with essential insights into the unique challenges of representing neurodiverse clients, along with guidance for employers on best practices and special considerations in employment decisions affecting neurodiverse workers. Panelists will define and discuss the types of neurodiversity before examining a wide range of issues in today’s workplace.

Seminar topics include:

  • Understanding neurodiversity and the types of employees who fit under this umbrella term

  • Key considerations for employers when hiring neurodiverse employees, including compensation laws

  • Effective employee training on neurodiversity

  • Employer confidentiality and neurodiversity

  • Discrimination claims and accommodation requests, with the latest case law

  • Ethical considerations in representing neurodiverse clients

  • Barriers that neurodiverse clients face in litigation

NJ CLE information: This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 2.4 hours of total CLE credit, including 2.4 in Diversity (Full Credits Available: NJ Advanced Diversity: 2.4).
