Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. is a proud sponsor of the 2026 New Jersey Planning and Redevelopment Conference presented by New Jersey Future and the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association. The conference will feature over 30 sessions bringing together a mix of speakers with influence over how redevelopment, planning, and infrastructure decisions are made.
On June 12 from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM, Steven J Tripp, Shareholder of the Wilentz Redevelopment Coordinated Services team, will speak on the panel, “Blackridge v. Long Branch and Beyond: What is ‘Reasonable’ in Redevelopment Plans and Agreements?” Anne Babineau, Shareholder within that team, will serve as moderator. The panel discussion will explore the impact of the Blackridge v. City of Long Branch decision and related cases in South Amboy and Hoboken on municipal authority in redevelopment matters and how these rulings may shape redevelopment negotiations, policy decisions, and risk assessment in both the public and private sectors.
On June 12 from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM, Everett M. Johnson, Shareholder and Co-Chair of the Wilentz Public Finance team and member of the Redevelopment Coordinated Services team, will speak on the panel, “Making Downtown Deals Work: Planning, Financing, and Community Benefits”. This session will examine how redevelopment projects move from vision to reality through strategic planning, community engagement, financial feasibility, and public-private partnerships.
The conference will take place virtually on June 10-11 and in person at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick on June 12.
