Redevelopment

Results achieved in prior matters are not meant to be a guarantee of success as the facts and legal circumstances vary from matter to matter.

The Redevelopment attorneys at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. have extensive statewide experience on redevelopment projects. We have represented public and private clients engaged in the revitalization of urban and suburban communities. We have the ability to deliver timely and effective service on projects ranging from a single apartment building to multi-acre, industrial, residential, and mixed-use developments.

We provide representation in connection with redevelopment, planning, and implementation, including:

  • Property acquisition (voluntary and condemnation)
  • Relocation
  • Declaring areas to be "in need of redevelopment" or "in need of rehabilitation"
  • Preparing redevelopment plans
  • Obtaining necessary zoning and other governmental approvals
  • Negotiating and drafting redevelopment and tax abatement agreements
  • Advising clients with respect to governmental financing, grant agreements, and other forms of tax-exempt and taxable financing (both public and private)
