If approved by New Jersey voters, a referendum in November will amend the state Constitution to permit the purchase and consumption of cannabis for recreational purposes, making New Jersey the twelfth state to legalize recreational cannabis. In anticipation of adult-use legalization, some Alternative Treatment Centers are preparing to increase production to meet the subsequent expected surge in cannabis demand.
