Friday, February 9, 2018

Anne Babineau and Laurie Meyers will present at this NJICLE conference, which will address issues associated with advising clients undertaking redevelopment projects and focus on legal issues that are unique to redevelopment projects when involved with arts facilities along with the more traditional mixed use development.

Anne Babineau will moderate and present three Panels, "Reuse of Retail," "Legislative Developments Related to Redevelopment," and "What’s the Latest on Meadowlands Redevelopment."

Laurie Meyers will moderate and present “Two Arts-Related Redevelopment Projects” (Station Village, a project in Woodbridge on which Wilentz represented Atlantic Realty with respect to zoning, environmental, redevelopment and tax abatement and Berg Hat Factory, a project in Orange NJ).

The conference will also address the following topics:

  • “Redevelopment Related Legislative Developments” especially relevant as Governor Murphy’s Team is indicating new policy directions
  • “Infrastructure/Parking – Legal Issues in Redevelopment – Multiple Users, Easements, Condo Garages, and Planning Issues”
  • “Reuse of Obsolete, Abandoned and Vacant Retail” - This is especially relevant in our world of increasingly greater on line shopping.
  • “What’s the Latest on Meadowlands Redevelopment” – NJSEA representatives and attorneys who practice before NJSEA will discuss how redevelopment is similar and different in the Meadowlands.
