Darren M. Gelber Sworn in as Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association's Criminal Law Section

Darren M. Gelber was sworn in as chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association's Criminal Law Section at the Association's annual meeting on Thursday, May 16. Justice Barry T. Albin (ret.) administered the oath to Mr. Gelber.

The New Jersey State Bar Association's Criminal Law Section, comprise of individuals from the defense bar, prosecutor’s offices, and former members of the judiciary, is dedicated to enhancing the criminal justice system through information dissemination and educational initiatives. This section actively engages in addressing emerging issues that impact its members, while also proactively proposing strategies to optimize the legal framework to better cater to the needs of Criminal Law Section members and their clients.

Gelber has been a shareholder at Wilentz since 2003 and also serves as Chair of the firm's Criminal Law Group.
