Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. is pleased to announce that Donald E. Taylor and Willard C. Shih have been designated by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as Certified Civil Trial Attorneys, an accreditation awarded to less than 2% of the attorneys licensed to practice in New Jersey. Both are shareholders in the Commercial Litigation group.
According to the Supreme Court of New Jersey, “A designation of Certified Civil Trial Attorney is granted only to those attorneys who are able to demonstrate the highest levels of experience, education, knowledge, and skill in civil trial practice.” New Jersey attorneys who are certified as a civil trial attorney must meet a multitude of criteria over the five years preceding certification including being favorably evaluated by 12 of their peers, participating in at least 45 days of trial during which the attorney served as lead counsel in at least five jury cases, and passing a day-long written examination in the intricacies of civil trial law.
By meeting the standards established by the Board on Attorney Certification and the Courts, Mr. Taylor and Mr. Shih add to the breath of Wilentz practices with certified attorneys; Maureen S.
