Maureen S. Binetti to Present NJICLE Webcast on Videoconferencing Labor and Employment Arbitration and Mediation During COVID-19

Wilentz Employment Law Chair Maureen S. Binetti will join a panel of labor and employment arbitrators and mediators at the New Jersey State Bar Association Continuing Legal Education webcast entitled “Videoconferencing Labor and Employment Arbitration and Mediation: Maintaining the Integrity of the Process and Ethical Considerations.” Ms. Binetti and the other panelists will discuss best practices for conducting virtual hearings and negotiations during COVID-19 while avoiding ethical pitfalls. Topics of interest include:

  • Functionality and integrity of videoconferencing
  • Procedures and protocols in virtual hearings
  • Exchanging and presenting documents on a virtual platform
  • Insuring confidentiality
  • Helping parties overcome technical difficulties
  • Ethical considerations for mediators, arbitrators and attorneys

Presented in cooperation with NJSBA Labor & Employment Law Section, this program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 2.4 hours of total CLE credit. Of these, 1,2 qualify as hours of credit for ethics/professionalism.
