Bonnie Birdsell is an associate in the Business and Commercial Litigation team. Ms. Birdsell handles matters in federal and state court on issues including contract disputes, restrictive covenant violations, antitrust matters, legal malpractice and construction litigation.
Ms. Birdsell is actively involved in the professional legal community as Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey and as a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association and the Middlesex County Bar Association. In July 2016, Ms. Birdsell was named to the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Blue Ribbon Committee on Professional Malpractice and co-authored an article on legal malpractice, which was published in New Jersey Lawyer Magazine. In 2018, Ms. Birdsell was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers Rising Stars.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Birdsell clerked for the Honorable Thomas M. Moore in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, General Equity Part, Essex Vicinage, where she worked closely with Judge Moore on matters such as shareholder oppression, foreclosure and derivative shareholder actions. Ms. Birdsell also interned for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, performing research on embezzlement, forfeiture and anti-kickback statutes.
While attending Seton Hall University School of Law, Ms. Birdsell was Notes Editor and a published author on the Legislative Journal and served as Vice President of the International Law Society. She also practiced in the Immigrants’ Rights and International Human Rights Clinic at the Center for Social Justice.
